Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing support and implementing behavioral therapy for individuals with autism and related disorders. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.Responsibilities:
- Analyze and implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide direct patient care and support in accordance with individualized treatment plans
- Assist individuals with daily living skills, social skills, and communication skills
- Collect and record data on client progress during therapy sessions
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure consistent implementation of treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for clients
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, preferably in special education or behavioral health settings
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and principles
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with individuals with autism and their families
- Excellent communication bilingual skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to follow instructions and implement treatment plans accurately
- Proficient in medical documentation procedures
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in analyzing behavioral data and making data-driven decisions
- Familiarity with medical records management systems
