Job Description

Job Purpose:
The Behavioral Tech II at
LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER
is responsible for providing direct care and support to individuals with behavioral health needs. This role involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment. The position requires a compassionate and professional approach to assist clients in achieving their personal goals and improving their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and supervision to clients in accordance with their individualized treatment plans. Assist in the development and implementation of therapeutic activities and interventions. Monitor and document client behavior, progress, and any significant changes in condition. Support clients in daily living activities, promoting independence and self-care. Collaborate with clinical staff to assess client needs and adjust care plans as necessary. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures. Participate in team meetings and contribute to case discussions and treatment planning. Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, ensuring the well-being of clients. Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions with clients and staff.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred.
Required Experience:
Minimum of one year of experience working in a behavioral health setting. Experience in direct patient care or support roles within mental health facilities. Familiarity with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in basic computer applications and electronic health record systems. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in patient care. Capacity to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
