Job Description

Job Summary:
Home Based in Duluth Provides 1:1 ABA therapy for children with autism spectrum disorders
Key Responsibilities:
Ensures child's physical safetyProvides 1:1 teaching for children with autism spectrum disorderUses curricula and teaching methodologies/strategies as outlined by supervisors to teach a variety of skill types such play, communication, self-help and academicDevelops lesson plansIncorporates technology into instructionPromotes positive company moraleRecognizes issues/questions to bring to the supervisor's attentionOrganizes and maintains student data collection systemsCollects data during teachingHelps with preparation and organization of teaching materials/supplies for client programsParticipates in regular communications with client families
Requirements:
A commitment to become certified as a Registered Behavior Technician by successfully completing a 40 hour course (no cost involved) in Applied Behavior Analysis.

CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to achieve certification.

Reliable transportation and insurance.

Availability for part time assignments. Monday thru Friday 3-7pm Monday thru Friday 3-7pm
Special Qualifications:
Familiar with the field of ABA, and knowledgeable of other community resources and agencies that serve children.

Sensitive to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population.

Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; American Sign Language or bilingual ability preferred.

Able to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.

Able to exercise confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment.

Able to appropriately interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations.

Knowledgeable and skilled in computer/word processing software and excel.

Ability to work in an exciting, fast paced high energy environment while effectively multitasking.

Personable; able to work comfortably with individuals at all levels within the organization.
