Our Employment Services team operates in a collaborative, mission‑driven environment that combines person‑centered supports with strong administrative and data practices to achieve meaningful employment outcomes. Full-time Hourly $23-$26 Behavior Technician Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Behavior Technician to provide direct support to adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) participating in center-based and community day services. In this role, you will play a vital part in promoting independence, skill development, safety, and meaningful community inclusion. The Behavior Technician implements individualized behavior support plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) while maintaining dignity, respect, and person-centered care at all times. Key Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior support and skill-building plans Provide hands-on supervision during program activities and community outings Utilize positive behavior support techniques to reinforce adaptive behaviors Accurately collect, document, and report behavioral data Support goals related to communication, social skills, vocational readiness, and independent living Maintain a safe, structured, and respectful environment Respond effectively to behavioral crises using approved de-escalation techniques Communicate progress and concerns with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members Participate in required trainings, team meetings, and BCBA supervision Be on-call approximately seven weeks per year for participant supervision in emergency settings Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle Ability to pass background checks and required clearances Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations Physical ability to perform de-escalation and behavior management techniques Commitment to ethical practices, confidentiality, and community inclusion Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, human services, or a related field Prior experience with behavior intervention or positive behavior support plans Training or certification in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), behavior management, or crisis intervention If you are passionate about supporting adults with IDD and want to make a meaningful impact in your community, we encourage you to apply.
