We are seeking dedicated Registered Behavior Technicians to join our diverse team in Elgin and be a part of our life-changing mission. The hours of this position are 8 AM•4 PM, Monday through Friday. We offer an hourly rate of $23.25•$24.25 based on qualifications and experience. We are hiring immediately and offer paid training! Joining Marklund is about being part of something bigger. About our school:
Marklund Day School is a non-public state-certified school that partners with area school districts to provide a highly specialized education experience. The therapeutic, sensory-driven Multi-Needs Program serves individuals ages 3 through 21 with medical, developmental, and physical disabilities. Through the Life Skills Program, teachers and paraprofessionals provide individualized functional curriculum and supports for students who are diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum, specific learning disabilities, and developmental disabilities. You will make a difference in the lives of our students in the following ways: Document all goals/program which includes the daily participation records after completion of a task with a student Observe and manage behavior of students according to approved procedures Implement behavior management techniques to support students Work directly with the students one-on-one and in groups outlined in the IEP's Assist teachers with classwork and daily care of students with special needs Keep equipment in classroom in clean condition and provides safe physical environment for all students Provide training and coaching to paraprofessionals on behavior techniques and implementation Must successfully pass PCM (behavior management) training As an equal opportunity employer, Marklund respects and supports diversity, equity and inclusion as part of our work environment. Experience and Skills:
Qualifications:
Illinois Paraprofessional Educator license is required. It can be obtained after being hired within 30 days. To obtain license candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED. Must have Registered Behavior Technician License. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and to meet its functional and environmental requirements
