Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting young learners as a Registered Behavior Technician for the 26/27 school year! This contract role offers full-time hours, with the workday scheduled from 8:20 am to 3:20 pm. Your expertise will make a tremendous difference for students at two different elementary schools near Evanston, IL. Both positions are dedicated to working one-on-one with a kindergarten student in a self-contained classroom (grades K-4). As an integral part of their educational journey, your compassionate guidance will help them thrive in a supportive and collaborative environment. The assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through winter break, with the potential to continue into the spring semester. An evaluation will take place around Thanksgiving to determine if the assignment will be extended.
Qualifications:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required Experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly in special education or behavioral support settings, is highly desirable Skilled in implementing individualized behavior intervention plans and data collection Effective communicator, able to collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff Patient, nurturing, and eager to support students' social, emotional, and academic development
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one support to a kindergarten student within a self-contained classroom Implement behavior intervention strategies under BCBA or supervising clinician direction Track progress through data collection and reporting Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment Collaborate with classroom teachers and the broader educational team If offered a position, you will be asked to provide three professional references.
