Behavior Specialist Medford Public Schools - 3.8 Medford, MA Job Details Full-time 3 hours ago Qualifications Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Provide direct and consultative therapeutic services for preventative and interventive purposes in the school setting, under the supervision of a certified BCBA. The Behavior Specialist with appropriate training will design, implement and interpret the results of behavioral interventions. Working with the BCBA, the Behavior Specialist provides professional development to paraprofessional staff to carry out interventions.
Direct staff training and development around principles of ABA.Provide program/individual staff consultation on therapeutic staff design/implementation of BIPs.
Participate in Team consultation meetings with classroom teachers/related service providers/paraprofessional staff.
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), Classroom Needs Assessments, and Home Needs AssessmentsMaintain daily intervention notes.
Provide oversight of Individual Home Training programs.
Address district/family questions or concerns regarding social-behavioral characteristics of studentAlert Special Education Coordinator to issues/concerns regarding student progressPerform other duties as requested by the building principal, the Coordinator of Special Education, or the Director of Pupil Services, within the scope of job description.

Bachelors degree in related fieldBoard Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst certification preferredAt least 2 years related experiencePrinciple Responsibilities:
