Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. This role involves providing behavioral therapy and support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA), experience working with children and individuals with disabilities, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes through patient care and assessment. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles under supervision Collect and analyze data related to client behaviors, progress, and treatment effectiveness Assist with patient assessments, intake procedures, and diagnostic evaluations Support patients during therapy sessions, ensuring safety and engagement Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including special education professionals, healthcare providers, and families Provide patient care that promotes positive behavioral health outcomes Support clients in developing communication, social, and daily living skills Adhere to confidentiality standards and ethical guidelines related to medical records and patient information Skills Experience with behavioral therapy techniques, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA) Prior work with children or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance Strong data collection and documentation skills for tracking client progress Ability to perform patient assessments and support diagnostic evaluations effectively Compassionate approach to patient care with excellent communication skills Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment involving healthcare professionals, educators, and families Patience, adaptability, and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for clients with disabilities Must be able to pass the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) exam within 90 days of hire.
