Paint & Body Technician

Job Description

An established student transportation fleet is hiring a Paint & Body Technician in Brownstown, MI to repair, maintain, and paint school buses and fleet vehicles. Ideal candidates bring automotive or truck repair experience and enjoy hands-on work across a range of vehicle systems. Duties & Responsibilities Repair, maintain, and paint school buses, motor coaches, and other fleet vehicles Perform preventive maintenance and repairs involving air and hydraulic brakes, steering and suspension, driveline, electrical systems, and vehicle AC Troubleshoot vehicle issues and complete assigned repairs safely and efficiently Build hands-on experience with advanced diagnostics, internal engine repair, and transmission repair under the guidance of experienced technicians Complete road calls and on-road repairs as assigned, and test-drive vehicles to verify repairs Complete required inspections, repair documentation, and maintenance records while keeping the work area clean, safe, and organized
Requirements Required:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience 2 years of hands-on automotive or truck repair experience, or 2 years of vocational training Working knowledge of preventive maintenance, brakes, steering and suspension, electrical systems, driveline components, and general vehicle repair Ability to troubleshoot vehicle issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently Must be at least 18 years old and obtain any license or certification required to operate company vehicles within 90 days Must provide the personal tools required for the position #HJ1
Compensation:
$30.00 per hour Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, holiday pay, PTO accrual, and retirement savings plan. Paid Training provided!
Shifts:
Day Shift - Monday to Friday Overtime Available!
