Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Behavior Technician and become a vital part of transforming lives through compassionate, evidence-based behavioral support. In this role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement personalized treatment plans rooted in applied behavior analysis (ABA). Duties Implement individualized behavioral intervention plans designed by licensed behavior analysts to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors. Collect accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and responses during therapy sessions to inform ongoing treatment adjustments. Assist with patient assessments and intake procedures to help evaluate client needs and develop tailored support strategies. Support clients in daily activities, including communication, social skills, and self-care routines, fostering independence and confidence. Maintain detailed medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and proper recordkeeping. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency across settings and optimize client outcomes. Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral therapy techniques, medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation processes, and behavioral health best practices. Skills Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and behavioral therapy techniques. Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder. Proficiency in data collection methods and maintaining accurate medical records. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy and confidentiality. Ability to perform patient assessments and contribute to diagnostic evaluations under supervision. Compassionate patient care skills with a patient-centered approach to support diverse needs. Familiarity with special education strategies and working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
