Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) ABA Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing direct behavioral therapy and support to individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other neurodevelopmental disabilities. The RBT will implement evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions, assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), and collect behavioral data to support personalized care plans. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to client well-being, adhere to ethical standards, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities Implement individualized ABA therapy protocols designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to promote skill acquisition and reduce maladaptive behaviors. Assist clients with activities of daily living, including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other self-care tasks. Collect accurate behavioral data during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Support clients in educational settings or home environments, ensuring consistency in behavior management strategies. Maintain detailed medical documentation and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Communicate regularly with clients' families, caregivers, and team members regarding progress, challenges, and care plan updates. Follow ethical guidelines outlined in the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts to ensure client safety and confidentiality. Participate in ongoing training related to applied behavior analysis, medical terminology, and behavior management techniques. Support the development and implementation of care plans tailored to each individual's needs. Contribute to a positive, engaging environment that fosters growth, independence, and confidence for clients. Skills Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and experience implementing ABA therapy protocols. Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and documentation related to behavioral health. Familiarity with assisting clients with ADLs and behavior management strategies. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, educators, and healthcare professionals. Understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards. Prior home-based behavioral experience or school experience working with neurodiverse populations is highly desirable. Patience, empathy, and a professional attitude toward client care and ethical conduct. Ability to adapt interventions based on individual client needs while maintaining fidelity to treatment plans.
