At Northern Nevada Center for Behavioral Services (DBA ABC's of Behavior), we are dedicated to changing lives though high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. We support families with children with developmental challenges in a positive, collaborative environment. We have many years of experience in dealing with extreme problem behaviors and teaching daily skills of living, and with elopement and potty training. We far out succeed in the creation of plans that improve these behaviors. With our highly experienced team we get tremendous results for parents and family members.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for passionate and reliable Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) to provide 1-on-1 ABA therapy to clients ages 2-18 years of age. Under the supervision of a Board-certified Behavior Analysis with 20 years of experience and one of the top BCBA's in the country. If you have a passion for clinical work this is the position for you. You must enjoy working with children and be able to play work and guide these children to have a better and more meaningful life. In this position you will help clients learn new skills, build independence, and reduce challenging behaviors.
Responsibilities:
  • Implement individualized behavior treatment plans created by the BCBA
  • Lead engaging play-based skill building and learning sessions
  • Accurately collect and record session data in real time
  • Communicate professionally with parents and team members
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive environment for the clients
  • Be proficient in written and verbal communication
Qualifications:
Active RBT Certification is a plus but not needed as we will pay for training and provide guidance for the state test to be licensed with in the State of Nevada and with the BCAB board for behavior analysis. Complete a 40-hour online training paid and in office training in order to sit for the test for your license. Training needs to be completed with in a 30-day period. High school diploma or equivalent. (Any coarse work in psychology, education, or social work is a plus.) Strong patience, empathy, and interpersonal communication skills. Reliable transportation for travel to the office. A valid driver's license, and current auto insurance. Pass a federal back ground check Able to sit stand and kneel for periods of time and lift at least 50 lbs. Must like to laugh and tell terrible jokes Able to stay focused and on task even in demanding times
