Job Description

About the Role Foundry 8:1:3 is seeking a collaborative, student-centered BCBA to support students ages 5-16 with special education needs in a school setting. The BCBA will develop individualized behavior supports, provide staff training, and collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to help students build communication, social, adaptive, and learning skills. Responsibilities Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Collect and analyze behavioral data to monitor student progress and adjust interventions. Collaborate with the educational team to develop and implement measurable behavioral goals aligned with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP). Support students in developing functional communication, emotional regulation, social skills, and independence. Provide training, modeling, and ongoing coaching to teachers, assistant teachers, and behavior technicians on behavior strategies and data collection. Monitor implementation of behavior plans to ensure consistency across classrooms and school routines. Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other team members to coordinate student support. Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and parent conferences. Communicate student progress and practical behavior strategies to families and caregivers. Support proactive crisis prevention and respond to challenging behavior in accordance with school policies and approved procedures. Maintain accurate assessments, progress reports, and service documentation. Provide supervision to RBTs and staff pursuing certification, as assigned and within applicable supervision requirements. Use ethical, evidence-based practices that prioritize student dignity, safety, and meaningful participation in school. Qualifications Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification. New York State Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) credential preferred, but not required. Experience supporting children with autism and other developmental disabilities; school-based experience preferred. Experience conducting FBAs, developing BIPs, and using data to guide intervention. Strong communication, organizational, and staff coaching skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and families. From $83,000.00 per year
