Responsibilities Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, and hygiene routines, promoting independence and confidence. Collect and document behavioral data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Support educational goals by applying teaching strategies tailored to each child's needs within a structured environment. Engage in behavior management techniques to reduce challenging behaviors and reinforce positive skills. Communicate regularly with clients' families and care teams to update on progress, share observations, and coordinate care plans. Maintain HIPAA compliance by safeguarding medical records, documenting sessions accurately, and respecting client confidentiality at all times. Requirements Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities, especially in home-based or school settings. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles, behavior management strategies, and special education methods. Ability to assist with ADLs and support clients in developing independence skills. Strong data collection skills with attention to detail for behavioral data recording. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and medical documentation practices. Experience working with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly preferred.
