Job Description

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Location:
Wayne, PA Position Overview The RBT will work 1:1 with students to provide behavioral and academic support as part of their individualized educational programs. This role supports students with diverse needs, including those requiring assistance with feeding, toileting, positioning, and monitoring health‑related concerns. The RBT collaborates closely with the student's case manager and classroom team to ensure consistent implementation of behavior plans and instructional strategies. Key Responsibilities Redirect student attention and support engagement with classroom tasks Provide repetition, clarification, and reinforcement of directions Facilitate guided play and positive peer interactions Deliver praise and reinforcement for on‑task behavior and expected social skills Model appropriate language and assist with problem‑solving Support behavioral expectations and intervention strategies Collect and record data accurately Assist with personal care needs (feeding, toileting, positioning) Monitor student health and safety throughout the school day QualificationsRequired High School Diploma or equivalent Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR certification prior to start date Preferred Experience in Autistic Support, Special Education, Behavioral Health, or Mental Health settings Credentialing Requirements (All must be dated within the past 12 months) PA Child Abuse Clearance PA Criminal Background Check PA FBI Fingerprinting TB Test Results Diploma or transcripts of highest education #education
