• Located in Lancaster County, the Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities (CADD) is a regional center of excellence that serves patients and families in Central Pennsylvania.

We have a multidisciplinary team (from the fields of psychiatry, nursing, psychology, applied behavior analysis, social work, and counseling) with recognized expertise in the treatment of the social, emotional, and behavioral issues affecting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Intellectual Disability (ID). We offer center-based services, which include diagnostic evaluations, short-term consultation and ongoing treatment. In addition, we provide community-based services, which include ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) for adults in a variety of settings.

• Who we serve…
• While CADD clients and families are all impacted by a developmental disability, we often support them with a variety of other concerns. These include but are not limited to: anxiety, ADHD, depression, OCD, social skills, interpersonal relationships, and family and caregiver support.
• General Summary
• The Behavior Consultant is a key team member of CADD's ABA-Adult program which provides community-based behavior support for adults (21+).

[FD1] Conducts descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments for use in home and community-based settings. Provides behavior analytic interpretations of the results with supervision from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Designs and implements behavior analytic interventions. Effectively develops and implements appropriate assessment and intervention methods specific to the client's needs. Teaches others on the clients care team to carry out ethical and effective behavior analytic interventions based on published research. Designs and delivers instruction under the supervision of a BCBA.

• Essential Functions:
• + Works collaboratively to develop and update Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) that outline individualized strategies and intervention based on the clients Individualized Support Plan (ISP).

+ Ensures interventions are implemented in the least restrictive manner and are fully respectful of and consistent with individual's rights.

+ Works collaboratively to ensure all plans align with evidence-based, person-centered practices and comply with Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) Best Practice Standards.

+ Displays the effective and evidence-based use of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles throughout the implementation of direct and indirect services.

+ Delivers indirect behavioral support through the development and implementation of Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Support Plans, engaging in non-face-to-face collaboration with the treatment team, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of required documentation.

+ Provides direct training for caregivers, direct support professionals, and other team members on the implementation of the BSP and safe, supportive intervention procedures.

+ Documents all behavioral support services clearly, accurately, and in compliance with ODP and organizational requirements.

+ Maintains current knowledge of each client's history, diagnoses, treatment status, and goals outlined in the BSP and ISP.

+ Prepares progress summaries and contributes to required reports for annual Individual Support Plan (ISP) reviews and service monitoring activities.

+ Works in a positive and collaborative manner with county Support Coordinators, families, and care teams to ensure the FBA/BSP align with the individual's goals, preferences, and ISP requirements.

• + Maintains current knowledge of trends and best practices in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) through collaboration with other ABA professionals and ongoing professional development opportunities both within and outside of CADD. + Actively participates in huddles, meetings, Grand Rounds, and other meetings. + Demonstrates understanding and respect of client's environment and culture.

• Minimum Education:
• + Master's Degree in ABA or related field such as Psychology or Education with a specialty in ABA. Required
• Work Experience:
• + 2 years' experience in working with people with an intellectual disability or autism and experience in developing/implementing behavioral analytic treatment plans. Required and + 2 years' experience in clinical or counseling psychology, special education, applied behavior analysis, or another related field. Required
• Driver's License Statement:
• Must possess a valid driver's license in the current state of residence. Driving record must meet requirements established by WellSpan Risk Management.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• + Knowledge of and ability in the care and management of the unique needs of individuals with developmental disorders.

+ Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills.

+ Analytical abilities.

+ Visual ability to observe patient behavior and dynamics in order to prepare and review written documentation.

+ Must be able to provide own transportation from one client to another.

+ Must demonstrate a strong professional interest in being a part of a multidisciplinary team that specializes in the assessment and treatment of the social, emotional and behavioral needs of children and adolescents with developmental disorders such as Intellectual Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders.
