Part-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt BCBA/BCaBA/Director of Clinical Services Myrtle Beach, Murells Inlet, Conway Position SummaryThe RBT will provide behavioral intervention services to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), will provide support to their families and will be responsible for implementing ABA based programs as directed by the BCBA. Prospective therapists are hired as a Behavior Technician and upon successful completion of the RBT program and passing of the final exam, will become a Registered Behavior Technician. Primary ResponsibilitiesJob Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 therapy service to learners as noted by the ABA Program Manager.
• Collect data on all programming and write progress notes/complete daily service log(s), on time and in accordance with compliance requirements.
• Daily documentation and accurate timekeeping of hours worked to ensure correct billing and reporting of services rendered.
• Assure coordination and continuity of services with other programs and services.
• Implement interventions designed in the EIBI Plan.
• Collect data on all programming and write progress notes/complete daily service log(s), on Assistance in Quality Assurance of compliance files with the guidance of the ABA Program Manager.
• Ensure confidentiality of all learner information while ensuring adherence to EIBI contract provider and HIPAA directives and standards for learners and as outlined in the SOS Care Employee Manual.
• Maintain 5% supervision by BCBA monthly in accordance with compliance requirements. RBT is responsible for obtaining documentation/proof of supervision.
• Maintain open communication with all team members on a regular basis and report any learner incidences/variances or complaints to BCBA immediately.
• Attend all required Level 10 meetings.
• Actively participate in the Virtual Buddy program.
• Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Training Requirements
• The BT/RBT must complete the coursework and requirements of the RBT training course (40 hours of training), pass the Competency Assessment and the RBT certification exam within 30 days of hire.

The RBT is required to pass the RBT certification course and keep up with the required continuing education. Failure to complete the above requirements will result in suspension until the employee passes the required exam.

• Complete all compliance checks as noted by the ABA Program Manager prior to the commencement of employment and remain compliant with timely completion of additional checks as necessary and as requested.
• Understand and adhere to established policies and procedures as presented during the Relias training period and as written in the SOS Care Policy Manual.
• RBT will be provided with ongoing training and support by the BCBA's and BCaBA's and the Clinical Training Supervisor. RBT will receive an annual assessment of performance to discuss competency of responsibilities and duties as listed.
• Must be able to work in various settings based upon the individual program of the learner including, clinic, school, home, and community. Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college education preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Documentation of a negative TB test or other acceptable TB screening result.
• Two current professional letters of recommendation
• Federal criminal background checks (Infoquest), proof of education level, proof of employment eligibility, Medicaid/Medicare check/ Child Abuse Check/SLED check, and all other employment verifications prior to the issuance of start date.
• Strong oral communication skills are essential to this position.
• Must have effective time management skills, strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and a strong attention to detail.
• Must possess the ability to work independently and to take the lead in difficult situations.
• A general understanding of ASD is important to understanding the goals and mission of SOS Care.
• A love of working with children who have ASD is essential to the success of this position. Physical Requirements
• Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, squat, and move throughout the clinic, outdoor environment, school, etc.
• Sit on the floor, low chairs, or other child-sized seating for extended periods during therapy sessions.
• Transition quickly between sitting, standing, and floor-level activities.
• Assist learners with mobility.
• Visually monitor learners and maintain awareness of the surrounding environment to ensure safety.
• Move quickly to ensure learner safety.
• Lift up to 50 pounds using proper body mechanics when appropriate.
• React quickly to learner behaviors that may present a safety concern, including blocking, redirecting, or implementing approved crisis intervention procedures in accordance with organizational training policies.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
• Perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists, and arms, including sitting, typing, data collection, and preparing therapy materials.
• Maintain stamina and endurance necessary to actively engage with participants throughout the workday.
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, and move training materials, office supplies, and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to demonstrate CPR and First Aid techniques during training sessions, which may include kneeling, bending, reaching, and performing demonstrations at floor level using training manikins.
• Ability to set up and break down materials and equipment for orientations, CPR/First Aid classes, meetings, and staff events.
• Ability to travel between SOS Care locations and other training or meeting sites as required.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Work Schedule and Travel
• Employees may be scheduled to work Monday through Thursday from 3-6pm.
• Employees hired without an active RBT certification will begin with a limited work schedule once they have passed the Competency Assessment and have satisfied onboarding requirements.

Upon successfully obtaining RBT certification and demonstrating readiness for independent service delivery, employees may become eligible for additional hours based on program needs, performance, and scheduling availability.

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
