Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary-aged students as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in a contract position located near Simpsonville, SC. This specialized opportunity is part-time to start—just two hours a day—with an anticipated possibility of expanding to full-time. Provide vital assistance in a dynamic educational environment where your expertise can make a lasting impact.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Active RBT certification required Experience in school settings strongly preferred Skilled in verbal redirection and behavior intervention strategies Comfortable working 2:1 with students exhibiting work avoidance and escalated behaviors, including aggression Collaborative mindset and effective communication skills with school staff and families Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles BCBA support is available to guide intervention strategies
Primary Responsibilities:
Work directly with an elementary-aged male student, under BCBA supervision Employ evidence-based ABA interventions in real-time classroom scenarios Utilize verbal redirection techniques to address work avoidance and challenging behaviors Collect data and accurately document student progress Participate actively in team meetings and provide input for behavior intervention planning Foster positive relationships to promote academic and social-emotional growth
