About us Heart of Texas ABA Therapy is a small therapy clinic in Harker Heights, TX that delivers Applied Behavior Analysis based therapy. We are a passionate and personal company in the business of improving the quality and trajectory of lives of individuals and their families affected with Autism. As a company we help children through quality and enjoyable relationship between the child and RBT while working towards specially designed goals individually programmed for each child's needs. To accomplish this we aim to keep our company professional with clear expectations, simple policies, transparent operations, and an emphasis on low stress. ## Overview We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will play a crucial role in providing behavioral therapy to individuals, particularly children, with autism spectrum disorder. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those you work with. If you are not currently an RBT you will need to become one before you start. It typically takes 2-3 weeks and we will be glad to direct you through the process. ## Responsibilities of the position:
- Punctuality and preparedness to be present with the patient without personal distractions
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Work directly with individuals to provide applied behavior analysis therapy
- Assist in the assessment of clients' skills and behaviors
- Document and maintain accurate records of client progress and behavior
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment goals ## Skills that will need to be learned and utilized:
- Proficiency in applied behavior analysis techniques
- Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder
- Strong patient care and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy principles and techniques
- Ability to maintain detailed medical documentation
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health
- Experience working with children is preferred
- Ability to effectively educate and communicate with clients and their families
