JOB SUMMARY
Positive Support for Children with Autism DBA Daisy Care provides high quality daycare and therapeutic support using the principles of applied behavioral analysis (ABA). We are seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to work one of three available shifts: M-F 830am-530pm; M-F 730am-430pm; M-F 930am-630pm. This position provides 1:1 support to children ages 2½-7 with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the daycare setting. The RBT will be responsible for implementing treatment plans created by the supervising Licensed Behavioral Analyst and will be responsible for the custodial care of children receiving daycare services.
A qualified RBT must have:
  • At least six months work experience supervising and having custodial care of groups of small children.
  • Ability to interact and communicate both verbally and in writing with individuals with autism and/or intellectual disabilities.
  • Have interest in advancing in the human service or education sectors.
  • Ability to walk, run and play active games with small children.
  • Ability to operate the basic functions of an IPad and/or laptop, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to consistently maintain a high level of professionalism including punctuality, effective time manager, and effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to efficiently collect and record data and to effectively implement treatment plans created by the Licensed Behavior Analysts (LBA).
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification or ability to complete independently within the first 60 days of employment (required)
  • At least 60 college credits (required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Physical Requirements Ability to physically assist in lifting and carrying assaultive adolescents weighing up to 150 lbs.
Ability to visually and audibly assess adolescent's behavior and needs. Ability to walk, run and play active games with the adolescents. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to 3 hrs at a time.
POTENTIAL JOB HAZARDS
Assaultive adolescents Blood and Body Fluid Contact (Category I) Use of specialized Group/Activity equipment, e.g. sports, art supplies. Operation of personal vehicle.
