Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated team as an Autism Support Specialist, where you will play a vital role in empowering children and individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental disabilities. In this dynamic position, you will provide direct behavioral therapy, implement individualized care plans, and support clients in both home and school settings. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact while developing your skills in applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management, and client communication. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, and personal hygiene to promote independence. Collect and analyze behavioral data to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Implement ABA therapy protocols based on individualized care plans aligned with the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts. Conduct direct behavioral therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques such as applied behavior analysis (ABA) for children with autism. Support clients in educational settings by collaborating with teachers and caregivers to facilitate effective learning strategies. Maintain accurate medical documentation, behavioral health records, and HIPAA-compliant client files to ensure confidentiality and compliance. Communicate regularly with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to update on progress, challenges, and next steps in treatment plans. Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders or neurodevelopmental disorders. Hands-on experience in home-based behavioral therapy or school-based settings implementing ABA protocols. Familiarity with behavior management techniques, data collection methods, and behavior analysis principles. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations while maintaining professional and ethical standards. Experience working within HIPAA guidelines ensuring client privacy and confidentiality at all times. Strong communication skills for engaging clients, families, educators, and healthcare professionals effectively. Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 20.0 per week
