Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work closely with individuals, particularly children, who have developmental disabilities and autism. This role involves implementing behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles, assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), and collecting data to monitor progress. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral therapy and experience working in special education or related fields. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Provide direct support to children with autism and other developmental disabilities, focusing on behavior management and skill acquisition. Assist clients with ADLs, promoting independence and self-care skills. Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and response to interventions accurately. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and medical documentation. Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to develop effective care plans tailored to each client's needs. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral health and applied behavior analysis. Experience Previous experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Familiarity with applied behavior analysis techniques and principles is essential. Experience in special education settings or patient care environments is advantageous. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and care plan development is beneficial. Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to teach effectively are crucial for success in this role.
