Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM We are seeking an experienced Biomedical Technician to support the maintenance, repair, testing, and preventive maintenance of medical and laboratory equipment in a healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and repairs on a variety of medical and laboratory equipment. Troubleshoot equipment issues and respond to service calls from clinical customers. Perform incoming inspections on medical devices and assist with installation of new equipment. Maintain accurate equipment maintenance and repair records in the equipment management system. Document equipment issues, operator errors, equipment abuse, and PM findings. Ensure equipment maintenance activities comply with Joint Commission (JC), NFPA, Title 22, and applicable State and Federal regulations . Support PCM and SMDA 90 reporting requirements. Order replacement parts and maintain appropriate inventory/par levels. Track parts deliveries and coordinate third-party preventive maintenance and repairs. Participate in hospital committees as requested. Participate in an on-call rotation as needed. Required Qualifications Associate of Science degree in Biomedical Electronics or equivalent experience in Biomedical Equipment Technology. Minimum 6 months of experience in the biomedical electronics field . Hands-on experience repairing and performing PM on healthcare equipment such as: Patient monitors Infusion pumps Vital signs monitors Defibrillators Knowledge of electronic theory, troubleshooting, anatomy, and physiology . Experience using electronic test equipment, including digital multimeters, safety analyzers, and defibrillator output testers. Soldering and computer/networking skills. C.B.E.T. certification preferred. Physical Requirements This position requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, pushing/pulling, twisting, and climbing. Candidates must be able to frequently lift and carry equipment weighing up to 25 pounds and perform fine motor activities involving fingering, grasping, and reaching
