Category Nursing - CVOR Tech Job Type Contract Advance your surgical technology career by taking on a dynamic role within a cardiovascular operating room (CVOR). This contract position calls for a dedicated CVOR Tech to provide expert support to nursing teams during surgical procedures. Your attention to detail and dedication to patient care will play a critical role in supporting complex cardiovascular surgeries.
Qualifications:
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required Previous recent experience working as a CVOR Tech Strong understanding of sterile field requirements and infection control procedures Proficiency in assembling, maintaining, and troubleshooting CVOR equipment Ability to anticipate surgeon and team needs in a fast-paced environment Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring all required instruments and equipment are ready and functioning Maintain a sterile environment and assist surgical and nursing staff before, during, and after operations Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment effectively during procedures Monitor and account for all supplies and instruments used throughout the surgery Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain high standards of patient care Assist with patient positioning, draping, and preparation as required Contribute to post-operative clean up and the safe transfer of patients This role offers a valuable opportunity to work with a skilled surgical team and make a positive impact in the field of cardiovascular care.
