Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Contract Stepdown Registered Nurses are sought for a vital role supporting patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. Ideal candidates bring expertise in stepdown nursing, delivering high-quality medical support while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive assessment, monitoring, and care to stepdown unit patients Administer prescribed medications, therapies, and monitor response to treatments Utilize evidence-based practices for care planning and patient education Document patient status, care interventions, and progress accurately in electronic records Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and allied healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care Respond quickly to changes in patient condition, taking appropriate actions per protocols Support patients and families by providing information, reassurance, and guidance
Qualifications:
Active and unencumbered RN license Minimum of one year recent experience in a stepdown unit or similar acuity setting Proficiency in cardiovascular monitoring, drip titration, and advanced nursing interventions Current BLS and ACLS certifications Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-stress environments Commitment to patient safety, customer service, and continuous learning
