(No Weekends , No Call, No Holidays, Ambulatory Setting) Job Summary Join a growing, physician-owned ambulatory surgery center as our Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Radiologic Technologist (RT) in our Vascular and Peripheral Interventional Laboratory. This role is 100% peripheral vascular — no cardiac catheterization or coronary intervention — and covers diagnostic and interventional procedures including peripheral angiography, PAD intervention, venous access, central venous catheter placement, and thrombolysis. You'll work directly under our supervising physicians in scrub and circulating roles, with real ownership over how the lab runs. As we grow toward full ASC status and add surgical specialties, this is a ground-floor opportunity to grow your scope and take on a leadership role in the lab. What Makes This Different Outpatient hours — no nights, no weekends, no holidays, no on-call Small, physician-led team with direct access to decision-makers Peripheral vascular focus — deep specialization, not spread across cardiac and coronary work Growth trajectory as the center expands into additional surgical specialties Opportunity to help shape lab protocols, training, and workflow as an early team member Required Qualifications One of the following credentials: ARRT (RT(VI)), RCIS (CCI), or RN with documented vascular procedural training and competency Current BLS certification Current ACLS certification Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular or Vascular Technology, or completion of an accredited program Prior experience in a peripheral vascular interventional lab, vascular/interventional radiology suite, or hybrid OR is a plus — we are willing to teach Working knowledge of peripheral vascular anatomy, hemodynamics, angiography, and endovascular procedures (PAD intervention, venous access, dialysis access, AV fistula/graft evaluation) Familiarity with vascular pharmacology, anticoagulation management, and contrast media administration Working knowledge of peripheral vascular devices — balloons, stents, stent grafts, atherectomy and thrombectomy devices, IVC filters, and central venous access devices Responsibilities Review patient records, labs, imaging, and consent prior to each case; perform pre-procedure assessment and baseline vitals Prepare the procedure room — sterile trays, catheters, wires, balloons, stents, and hemodynamic monitoring equipment Maintain a sterile field; pass devices and manage guidewires during the procedure (scrub role) Continuously monitor hemodynamic status, administer medications per physician order, and manage contrast volume and ACT monitoring (circulating role) Operate fluoroscopic and imaging systems, ensuring proper acquisition and documentation Recognize and respond to vascular emergencies, hemodynamic instability, and access-site complications Manage post-procedure recovery, hand-off, and access-site monitoring Maintain accurate real-time documentation in the EHR and procedural recording system Support radiation safety (ALARA), infection control, and quality improvement initiatives Assist with training new lab staff as needed Skills Strong understanding of sterile technique and radiation safety protocols Manual dexterity for handling small-diameter interventional tools under fluoroscopic guidance Ability to perform effectively under pressure in urgent and emergent procedural situations Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills Physical Requirements Extended periods of standing during procedures Ability to wear radiation-shielding lead apparel (approx. 10-15 lbs) for the duration of a case Ability to assist with patient transfers and lift/push/pull up to 25 lbs Benefits 401(k) with company match Medical, dental, and vision insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Physician-owned vascular surgery center in Cary, NC, growing toward full ambulatory surgery center status.
