Quality Staffing Specialists is currently seeking a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or a Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist to work in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab. 9 Room Lab with 2 very active EP labs that perform ablations, implants, and LAA; a high-level team that works in a multidisciplinary setting to produce excellent patient outcomes. The Electrophysiology Specialist serves as a first assistant with more autonomy in scope, working with minimal supervision to deliver direct patient care within the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, Catheterization Lab, and Catheterization Lab Holding Room. Responsible for mentoring/precepting team members. This role provides high-quality, safe, culturally competent, and cost-effective patient care across all operational areas through comprehensive assessment, strategic planning, diligent evaluation, medication administration, and timely intervention and follow-up to support patients' overall well-being and positive outcomes. The Electrophysiology Specialist role carries out specialized nursing care within the electrophysiology lab setting. This position supports collaboration with the healthcare team to provide advanced patient care during procedures, ensuring precision and adherence to established protocols for optimal patient outcomes. Serves as a first assistant during diagnostic, interventional, and acute procedures by maintaining strict asepsis, responding promptly in emergencies, and demonstrating advanced utilization of supplies and equipment to ensure patient safety and optimal procedural outcomes.

Required Skills/Experience:

Must have 1 year of recent EP Lab experience EP procedures to include scrubbing and circulating. Travelers are not required to monitor. Must have previous travel/contract experience

Electrophysiology Studies:

Arrhythmia induction, Cardiac Ablation, Cardioversion, Electrophysiology Evaluation, Insertion/Programming of AICDs, Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Closure, and Pacemaker Insertion.

Procedural Responsibilities:

Equipment setup, perform EKG lead placement, Prep access site, Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, and Scrub-maintain sterile field.

Equipment and Devices:

Fluoroscopy experience required. Phillips, Siemens, and Ultrasound experience preferred.

EMR:

Epic experience required

Scheduling Requirements:

Length of contract: 13 weeks Hours per week: 40 No weekends
