1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer with 1+ years of experience in adult transthoracic echocardiography for a 13-week contract position. Details 15-bed hospital with an attached 8-bed ED and Primary Care Clinic Cardiology unit performing 4-8 echoes per day Adult inpatient, ED, and outpatient patient populations May assist with precepting other Echo Techs, though not required No TEEs or stress echoes performed Uses

by Phillips PACS, and Phillips EPIQ ultrasound equipment (preferred) 8-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 0800-1630 No weekend rotation or on-call requirements Potential to float to nearby Advocate Health facilities based on department needs Requirements BLS certification required ARDMS-RDCS or

CCI-RCIS

certification accepted License required if applicable Graduate of accredited cardiac ultrasound program preferred Minimum of 1 year of core work experience in cardiac sonography, with most recent experience within the last year Experience with adult transthoracic echocardiography, contrast studies, doppler and color flow imaging Strong ability to work independently with good time management skills Last 4 of SSN and full DOB required for consideration Minimum 1 professional reference dated within one year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN Additional Information Department orientation and EPIC training provided upon hire Initial scanning competency assessment required Remote leadership support available along with 24/7 RT and Hospitalist coverage and Radiologist availability Limited transporter availability on the unit Holiday coverage expected as needed based on department needs Up to 7 days RTO may be approved Galaxy blue scrub top with black scrub pants required Free parking available First-time travelers will be considered Local candidates are not accepted within a 50-mile radius Previous employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
