As a Telemetry Technician, you will play an essential role in supporting nurses, enhancing patient care, and creating a safe environment for individuals across our organization. A typical day for a Telemetry Technician may include: Maintaining continuous observation of cardiac rhythms within the Central Monitoring Station for patients on telemetry monitors Working cooperatively with Registered Nurses by immediately notifying them of any abnormalities or changes in patient heart waveforms Performing clinical tasks such as conducting STAT Electrocardiograms (EKGs) during the night shift and other duties within scope of practice Accurately documenting monitoring data and rhythm updates to support continuity of care and patient safety Coordinating department workflow by planning, organizing, and multitasking efficiently to manage patient monitoring needs Providing clear, professional communication when collaborating with the healthcare team to support seamless patient experiences Assisting with the training, orientation, and mentorship of new staff members regarding department policies and procedures Contributing to a collaborative team environment where professionalism, communication, and patient-centered care are shared priorities Pursuing ongoing professional development through training, continuing education, and organizational resources that support long-term career growth This role might be for you if: Clear, professional communication defines how you interact with nursing staff, colleagues, and the healthcare team You enjoy focusing on precise clinical observations in a fast-paced hospital environment Attention to detail and organization help you deliver accurate, continuous cardiac monitoring Providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a positive attitude are important to you Adaptability allows you to manage changing priorities and multi-task while maintaining professionalism Continuous learning and mastering cardiac rhythm interpretation motivate you Collaborative teamwork is something you value and actively contribute to every day To be considered for this Telemetry Technician opportunity, you are passionate about delivering vigilant patient care while creating a positive impact for every individual we serve. You hold a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
