Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sonogram Technician specializing in Cardiovascular and Vascular imaging to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures to assess heart and vascular health, supporting cardiology and interventional radiology teams. Your expertise will contribute to accurate diagnoses, guiding treatment plans, and improving patient outcomes. Responsibilities Operate advanced sonography equipment to perform cardiovascular and vascular imaging, including echocardiograms, Doppler studies, and vascular ultrasounds. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and maintaining proper aseptic technique. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate diagnostic evaluations such as cardiac catheterizations, stress tests, and interventional procedures. Monitor vital signs during procedures and ensure patient safety throughout imaging sessions. Utilize Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) to accurately store, retrieve, and manage imaging data for review and diagnosis. Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, findings, and patient interactions in compliance with protocols. Experience Proven experience performing cardiovascular sonography or vascular ultrasound procedures in a clinical setting. Familiarity with interventional cardiology techniques such as cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures. Knowledge of physiology related to cardiac function, vascular anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to sonography. Hands-on operation of diagnostic medical equipment used in echocardiography, Doppler studies, and PACS systems. Understanding of aseptic techniques necessary for invasive procedures within cath labs or similar environments. Prior exposure to telemetry monitoring during diagnostic or interventional procedures is advantageous.
