  • 4 pm, 10:30 am

On-call:

1 day per week, 1 weekend per month, up to 3 holidays per year

SUMMARY:

As a Cardiovascular Radiologic Tech-Senior, you assist radiologists with radiographic procedures to ensure diagnostic quality and the maximum comfort and safety of patients who undergo procedures. Performs and assists cardiologists in performing angiographic procedures, obtaining films of good diagnostic quality while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients undergoing these procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs and documents high-quality radiographic procedures across assigned areas, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with departmental and hospital standards. Ensures patient safety, comfort, and professionalism throughout all procedures, demonstrating courteous care, proper aseptic technique, and adherence to safety and documentation protocols. Maintains and manages equipment, supplies, and procedure areas to established quality and safety standards, including room preparation, cleanup, and proper storage of imaging studies. Collaborates effectively with physicians, nurses, and support staff , providing clear communication, assisting in emergencies, and facilitating patient transport and coordination of care. Supports departmental excellence by participating in quality assurance initiatives, staff training, and process improvements to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Two year college certificate or equivalent Three years' experience as a Cardiovascular Rad Tech NYS license in Radiologic Technology American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT-R)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

One year of Radiologic Technologist experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to work various software applications. Exceptional customer service and communication skills Cardiac Interventional Radiography Certification (ARRT-CI)

Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements. For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.
