Key Qualifications:

Certification as a Surgical Technologist, with specialized CVOR experience strongly preferred Proven experience assisting in cardiovascular operating rooms Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Familiarity with CVOR instruments, sterilization techniques, and procedures Excellent communication and problem-solving skills under pressure Meticulous attention to detail and ability to follow complex protocols Ability to work collaboratively as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team

Primary Responsibilities:

Prepare the operating room and ensure all CVOR equipment and instrumentation are sterile and ready for each procedure Assist surgical staff during cardiovascular operations by anticipating needs and handing instruments Monitor sterile field throughout procedures and maintain strict infection control standards Support patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgeries Participate in post-operative clean-up, instrument sterilization, and room restocking Accurately document procedures, instrument usage, and any critical intraoperative events Stay current on best practices and new technologies relevant to CVOR procedures
