Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Multimodality Technologist specializing in X-ray, General Sonography, and Echocardiograms to join our vibrant healthcare team. In this role, you will operate advanced medical imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images that are vital for accurate patient diagnosis and treatment planning. Duties Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, ultrasound (sonography), echocardiograms studies with precision and attention to detail. Ensure proper patient positioning and prepare patients for imaging procedures while explaining the process clearly to alleviate anxiety and promote cooperation. Operate and maintain radiologic imaging equipment such as PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems), and other diagnostic tools following manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols. Apply aseptic techniques during invasive procedures or interventional radiology to prevent infection and ensure patient safety. Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently by documenting procedures accurately and maintaining confidentiality of patient information. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare team members to interpret images accurately and facilitate timely diagnosis. Adhere strictly to radiation safety standards, including the use of protective shielding and monitoring devices during imaging procedures. Assist in patient care by monitoring vital signs during procedures requiring sedation or contrast agents; provide basic life support when necessary. Maintain equipment calibration, troubleshoot technical issues promptly, and ensure all imaging tools are functioning optimally for daily operations. Skills Extensive knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to optimize imaging techniques for different body parts and conditions. Proficiency in operating radiologic imaging equipment such as X-ray machines, ultrasound devices, and echocardiograms and PACS software. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to radiology and diagnostic procedures. Ability to position patients accurately for various imaging modalities to obtain clear images while ensuring patient comfort. Experience in interventional radiology procedures requiring precise imaging guidance. Knowledge of radiation safety principles (ALARA - As Low As Reasonably Achievable) and aseptic techniques for invasive procedures. Familiarity with hospital workflows including EHR management, scheduling systems, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams. Basic life support (BLS) certification is preferred; ongoing training in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) is a plus. Prior hospital experience in diagnostic radiology or nuclear medicine is highly desirable for success in this role.
