2 Description American Traveler is hiring an Echo/Vascular Technologist for a hospital-based Vascular Lab requiring 1+ years of experience and ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography. Details Work in a hospital Vascular Lab setting Primarily focused on in-patient care Adult transthoracic echocardiography with experience in contrast agents and bubble echo required Transesophageal echocardiogram and pediatric experience are a plus Uses Epic for charting 3x12 hour day shifts, variable weekdays and weekends Weekend shifts required Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience in the specialty being submitted for ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac sonography, or ARDMS or CCI certification in vascular sonography BLS certification required through AHA and must not expire prior to start Successful completion of at least one vascular or echo registry (adult, pediatric, or fetal) pertinent to the department HS diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred Active license required; no pending licenses accepted License required if applicable Epic EMR experience preferred Additional Information Responsibilities include prioritizing and scheduling exams, coordinating with physicians and staff, preparing and transporting patients, and performing ultrasound exams per protocol Ensures patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes throughout the exam process Documents exam results and accurately charges for exams and supplies Cleans, maintains, and stocks ultrasound equipment and work area Participates in quality improvement initiatives and educational opportunities May provide training and mentorship to other staff, fellows, and students Permanent staff must be separated from any facility within this health system for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
