Job Description

Category Imaging - Cath Lab Tech Job Type Travel Discover Chesapeake, Virginia—a vibrant coastal city rich in scenic beauty, urban amenities, and quick access to both beaches and cultural attractions. As a travel professional in this dynamic area, you'll experience a workplace unlike any other, with exposure to leading-edge cardiac and vascular procedures. Schedule/Hours:
Monday through Friday On-call rotation—minimum of 14 days
Role Responsibilities:
Assist cardiologists and vascular physicians in advanced cardiac and vascular diagnostic/interventional procedures, including
TAVR, PFO
closures, Watchman, EKOs, balloon pump, atherectomy, and electrophysiology studies. Operate and maintain complex lab equipment, including GE and Siemens machines. Calibrate, set up, and monitor procedure instrumentation, ensuring electronic and radiological safety. Prep patients, monitor during procedures, and collect diagnostic data. Provide direct patient care for adolescent through geriatric populations. Calculate drug dosages, administer medications, and make quick clinical decisions based on real-time data. Maintain accurate supplies, equipment, lab cleanliness, and support documentation. Demonstrate agility, emotional composure, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Participate in flexible/on-call schedules as needed.
Qualifications:
RCIS required; Radiology Tech and/or accredited Electrophysiology program background preferred. BLS and ACLS certifications. Vocational/Technical degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Demonstrated experience in a cath lab, supporting cardiac and vascular procedures. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and mechanical skills. Ability to use PPE (lead apron, thyroid shield) and physically assist in patient positioning.
