Job DescriptionAudit payments from commercial and workers compensation carriers for consistency with contracted fee schedule and follow up with carriers as appropriate to resolve underpaymentsConduct follow-up inquiries regarding missing insurance paymentsCorrect and resubmit denied claimsProcess written appealsTrack denial/payment trendsCommunicate with staff and patients to resolve payment issuesAnswer billing questions for patients and implement solutions to remedy issuesProcess patient credit card paymentsData entryVerifying current personal and financial informationMaintaining patient charts and electronic medical recordsCollecting, posting, and depositing patient paymentsFaxing, filing, and performing any other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school degree or equivalentExcellent in-person and phone customer serviceProficient in Word or ExcelClose attention to detailGreat time management and organizational skills Be available for a full-time schedule, Monday - Friday, 40 hour work weekTeam player attitude and energetic with a focus on excellent customer servicePrevious experience working in a medical/physical therapy billing role is preferred but not required.

Additional InformationThe anticipated base pay range for this position is $25.00-$30.00. Pay is based on various factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The Company's incentive compensation plan is subject to change. Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits are also available, subject to the terms of the Company's plan.
