  • Managing the patient care employee application process.
  • Selecting qualified applicants for employment.
  • Scheduling and conducting orientation of new patient care employees.
  • Selecting qualified applicants for the home health aide course.
  • Managing patient care employee compliance.
  • Conducting performance evaluations for patient care employees.
  • Recognizing patient care employees for outstanding service.
  • Counseling patient care employees when correction or improvement is needed.
  • Handling patient care employee health insurance.
  • Managing patient care employee injuries and workers compensation claims.
  • Handling general patient care employee related issues.
  • Other duties and tasks as directed by the Administrator.
Detailed Scheduling Job Description:
  • Selecting and scheduling patient care employees for patient care.
  • Providing the patient or patient's representatives the names of the patient care employees who are scheduled to provide care to the patient.
  • Providing the Plan of Care Service Plan to the patient care employee scheduled to provide care.
  • Communicating with the Scheduling Supervisor, Administrator, Social Worker, and/or RN regarding patient care issues and potential patient inquiries and documenting the communication.
  • Reviewing the patient care schedule to ensure that patients are staffed with appropriate patient care employees.
  • Managing relationships between patients and patient care employees.
  • Communicating and relating with patient care employees on a personal level.
  • Maintaining authorizations for all contracted clients.
  • Answering all incoming calls before and after regular business office hours.
  • Documenting scheduling activities and communication with patient care employees, patients, and patient's representatives.
  • Reviewing electronic time and patient care records for completeness and accuracy of care based on clients need or authorization.
  • Training and overseeing patient care employees' electronic time and patient care records in real time for quality purposes.
  • Being a patient care employee advocate.
Detailed Administrative Staff & Receptionist Job Description:
  • Answering and triaging all incoming calls during regular business office hours.
  • Forwarding calls as appropriate.
  • Maintaining all electronic patient files.
  • Copying, faxing, and scanning documents.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by the Administrator.
