Job Description

St. Luke's Health System currently has an exciting opportunity for a part-time Telehealth Specialist to join our Transfer Center team in Boise! Transfer Center Shifts:

12-hour swing shifts

•from 11am to 11:30pm

Schedule:

Variable days per week

•weekends and holidays required What To Expect As a Telehealth Specialist in the Transfer Center, you will play a critical role in supporting patient flow and care coordination across all four St. Luke's locations. This is a non-clinical role with no direct patient contact, but it is essential to ensuring timely, efficient transfers and bed placement. In this fast-paced, high-volume environment, you will collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and operational teams to manage transfer requests and support seamless transitions of care.

Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating Patient Transfers:

Support the movement of patients across facilities in collaboration with clinical teams.

Managing Bed Placement:

Assist with timely and accurate bed assignments across the health system.

Handling High-Volume Calls:

Manage incoming transfer center calls and communicate critical information clearly and efficiently.

Operational Support:

Maintain accurate documentation and support administrative workflows within the Transfer Center.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration:

Partner with nurses, physicians, and other care team members to resolve issues and ensure smooth coordination.

Qualifications Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience:

Minimum of six (6) months of customer service or administrative experience required

Licenses/Certifications:

None required Preferred Qualifications Healthcare Experience Background in healthcare, patient access, or care coordination is strongly valued

Strong Communicator:

Able to communicate clearly, professionally, and calmly in a high-pressure environment.

Problem Solver:

Comfortable prioritizing tasks, adapting to change, and troubleshooting in real time.

Team-Oriented:

Enjoys working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams toward shared goals.
