This is a key patient-facing position responsible for helping patients understand their recommended care, maximize their insurance benefits, and confidently move forward with treatment. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience presenting dental treatment and completing detailed insurance verification in a busy dental practice. You must be comfortable discussing treatment plans, financial arrangements, insurance limitations, and patient concerns with accuracy, and confidence. This is not an entry-level position.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ability to perform complete insurance benefit verification before patient appointments. Confirm eligibility, effective dates, waiting periods, deductibles, annual maximums, frequencies, downgrades, and plan-specific requirements. Obtain benefit information through insurance portals and direct communication with carriers. Enter accurate benefit details and documentation into Eagle Soft software. Prepare reliable patient estimates. Collect deposits, patient portions and make financial arragements. Help the front-office and clinical teams maintain a smooth, organized schedule. Advanced understanding of dental terminology, procedures, CDT codes, insurance benefits, and common coverage limitations. Review remaining annual benefits and help patients understand how to use them appropriately. Explain recommended procedures, treatment sequencing, fees, estimated insurance benefits, and patient responsibilities. Follow up consistently on unscheduled and incomplete treatment. Coordinate with dentists, hygienists, clinical team members, and scheduling staff to create an excellent patient experience. Required Qualifications At least five years of recent dental-office experience that includes both treatment presentation and dental insurance verification. Experience calculating patient estimates and explaining insurance and financial responsibility accurately. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities without losing accuracy. Treat every patient with warmth, respect, patience, and professionalism.
Pay:
$19.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
