Ann Arbor Smiles Dental Group is a dentist-owned practice that has proudly served the Ann Arbor community for 40 years. We are growing, but intentionally not becoming a chain. The Role As a Care Coordination Team Member , you'll be a key part of the patient experience. You'll work closely with our doctors, clinical team, and administrative team to help patients navigate their care and keep the experience organized, welcoming, and seamless.
Your responsibilities will include:
Welcoming patients and creating a warm, professional first impression Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments Managing patient records and maintaining accurate information Handling phone calls and patient questions with confidence and professionalism Coordinating closely with the clinical team to keep patient care moving smoothly Verifying dental insurance benefits and helping patients understand their coverage Discussing treatment-related financial information and assisting with collections Helping patients understand their options and navigate the administrative side of their care Supporting a positive patient experience from scheduling through completion of care Who We're Looking For Experience is preferred. We are especially interested in candidates with previous experience in front-office or other patient-facing healthcare roles You should be someone who: Communicates exceptionally well with patients and coworkers Is comfortable discussing insurance, treatment, and financial matters Is organized and able to manage multiple priorities Takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do Is dependable, professional, and confident in a patient-facing environment Works well as part of a team Learns quickly and adapts well to new systems and processes Understands that excellent patient care includes both the clinical experience and everything surrounding it An associate's or bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare management, or a related field is a plus, but relevant experience and transferable skills matter most. Schedule This is a part-time position, with full-time hours available for the right candidate. We're willing to be flexible for an exceptional candidate. The position requires working on-site at our various Ann Arbor locations. Some evenings and occasional weekends may be required.
