About the Opportunity An established senior living community is seeking a dynamic, organized, and resilient leader to serve as our Staffing & Care Coordinator . This is a confidential search for a dual-faceted role requiring a unique mix of logistical excellence, recruitment insight, and a hands-on care philosophy. You will serve as the heart of our community's daily operations, bridging the gap between administrative staffing and hands-on resident care. Core Responsibilities Master Scheduling:
Create, manage, and continuously optimize monthly schedules for Caregivers and Medication Technicians (Med Techs) to ensure 24/7 building coverage and state compliance.
Attendance & Call-Off Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for daily employee call-offs. Shift resources creatively and efficiently to find immediate coverage and minimize community disruption.
Holiday & Leave Planning:
Proactively manage holiday rotations and paid time off requests to ensure fair, transparent, and compliant distribution of shifts.
Recruitment & Interviewing:
Screen applications, source talent, and lead interviews for prospective Caregivers and Med Techs to keep a strong talent pipeline.
Staff Onboarding & Training:
Conduct new hire orientation and lead ongoing hands-on training sessions to ensure the team meets quality standards and regulatory compliance. Floor Support (As Needed): Lead by example. This position requires a willingness to "work the floor" as a Caregiver or Med Tech to maintain safety standards during critical staffing shortages or emergency call-offs.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of scheduling or staffing coordination experience, specifically within an assisted living, memory care, or long-term care environment.
Clinical/Care Experience:
Prior hands-on experience as a Caregiver or Med Tech is strictly required . Valid Med Tech certification or CNA license is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with modern healthcare scheduling software (e.g., OnShift, When I Work, SmartLinx) and standard office applications (Excel, Word).
Communication & Resilience:
Exceptional conflict-resolution skills, a calm demeanor under pressure, and a professional phone etiquette for handling off-hours call-offs.
Availability:
Must be flexible to participate in an on-call rotation for staffing emergencies, including weekends and holidays. Why Apply?
