Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated, organized, and critical thinking Insurance Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will want to enjoy coming to work because they enjoy seeing and being around the people who work hard with them to create and maintain that amazing culture. This position is a critical pillar in providing excellent patient care with a positive attitude and motivation to help others solve problems and improve their lives This position requires strong communication and administrative skills and familiarity with dental management systems, with preference of experience using Open Dental, but willing to train the right candidate. Duties Handle patient inquiries and provide superb customer service Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality Support financial operations by verifying patient insurance, filing claims, creating and submitting insurance appeals, posting insurance and patient payments, and billing and invoicing Preparation of reports and documentation relating to insurance claim status and payments Manage outstanding insurance claims to maintain a 100% collection rate Credential/Re-credential providers Ensure the office environment is welcoming and professional for patients and visitors Skills Proficiency in patient management systems, particularly Open Dental is a plus Strong understanding of dental terminology and clinic operations. Experience in filing insurance claims with narratives and attachments and posting insurance payments is preferred Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Strong communication skills for interaction with patients, staff, and external stakeholders. Hours are 8am-3pm Monday-Thursday, and rotating Fridays 8am-12pm. Hourly pay based on experience.
