Job Description

Volunteer Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and proactive Behavioral Health Liaison (BHL) to join our Crisis Services team in Murfreesboro, TN. This role is essential in bridging service gaps at our Walk-In Center (WIC), Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), and Detox facilities.
Schedule:
Part-time:
Mon, 8a-4p, Fri, 8a-4p, & every other Sat, 8a-2p
Pay Range:
$22.12, 23.08 24.00-Per Hour Requirements •
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a health-related field (counseling, psychology, social work, or other behavioral sciences). •
Experience:
At least two (2) years of paid work experience in a behavioral health setting. •
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in searching and entering data into Electronic Record systems. •
Compliance:
Must adhere to VBHCS Standards of Conduct and all applicable laws/regulations. The Role As a BHL, you will serve as a crisis assessor, care manager, discharge planner, and educator. Your primary objective is to support clients from their initial contact through discharge, ensuring they are connected to the appropriate level of care to improve behavioral health outcomes. Key Responsibilities •
Triage & Assessment:
Evaluate and triage clients at the WIC and conduct crisis assessments as needed. •
Care Management:
Assist with applications for TN Safety Net and TennCare to ensure continued treatment. •
Discharge Planning:
Create and complete discharge plans to ensure adequate follow-up care and resources. •
Advocacy:
Effectively communicate client needs to crisis staff and receiving agencies for seamless transitions. •
Support Services:
Assist CSU or Detox staff with client care, including 15-minute checks and meal prep when required.
Pay:
$46,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
