Job Description

We are looking for a full-time chiropractor to serve the community of Unalaska, Alaska, we are currently the only physical medicine clinic on the island and offer chiropractic, physical therapy, and massage therapy services. We provide company housing and all utilities, so you do not have to worry about getting an apartment on your own here; and you will have access to a company vehicle to run errands and explore the island. We work on primarily fishermen, fish processing workers, members of the US coast guard, and airport employees who have a variety of injuries and complaints to work with, which allows you to utilize different modalities and treatment techniques. You would be running the chiropractic department on your own, working with a traveling Physical Therapist, and two licensed massage therapists. We also have a small front desk team who makes appointments based on your treatment plan frequency and does all the reminder calls and texts for appointments. Dutch Harbor is a small rural fishing community with about 4000 year-round residents and a population of 10,000- 15,000 during the fishing season which runs February to October. During the spring and summer, the island has a lot of outdoor activities to participate in such as hiking and berry picking. The weather is mild and stays around 30-70 degrees Fahrenheit, with most days being spent in the 40-degree range. We have a community center which offers a variety of classes as well as weights and cardio equipment, an art room, and a swimming pool and sauna which the company supplies a membership to. Dutch Harbor is a unique picturesque island. The local wildlife including sea otters, whales, seals and arctic foxes, there are no bears or other Alaskan predators. The main office is a large 3 story house with attached apartment, and the clinic is located on the first floor and the second and third floors are where we live.
