Job Description To support efforts to facilitate the achievement of UAB Medicine s vision and strategy through the application of clinical informatics and methods. To positively influence health care delivery and patient care outcomes, promote quality initiatives and make efficient use of resources. To serve as a liaison between HSIS, Ancillary Services and the Health System. To participate in aspects of CIS planning, design, development, implementation, integration, training, ongoing support and evaluation. To apply clinical knowledge and skills of practice to ensure clinical information systems (CIS) usability. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a health care related field required and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Current State of Alabama licensure commensurate with healthcare degree (i.e., RN, Radiology, etc.). Attainment of certification in related healthcare field (i.e. Quality, Informatics, Patient Safety) within 2 years of hire.
