DaysJOB SUMMARY
The clinical pharmacy specialist will provide specialized clinical activities relating to designated clinical programs to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The specialist will be expected to perform various types of medication utilization activities within a defined area including but not limited to anticoagulation pharmacokinetics dose adjustments order verification and IV to PO conversions. The clinical specialist shall precept pharmacy residents and students. In addition the specialist may be asked to participate in appropriate committees and represent the department of pharmacy throughout the hospital or ambulatory settings within the area of focus.JOB QUALIFICATIONS A.
Education (or equivalent years of experience): Required for consideration: Degree from an Accredited College of Pharmacy B. Experience (or equivalent education): Required for consideration : PGY1 Residency or equivalent or 3 years of relevant experience. C. Licensure Required for consideration : Registered Pharmacist in the State of Florida D. Certification/Registration Board Certification or Residency preferred. E. Special Training Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the care needed for the specific patient population in area of assignment.- ACLS as needed
- PALS as needed
- Required for consideration : BLS Provider from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
