Summary:

The Senior Reimbursement Analyst supports the Manager of Government Reimbursement in preparing Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, analyzing reimbursement data, and coordinating information between Catholic Health entities and the Government Reimbursement team. The Senior analyst acts as a liaison with outside auditors and consultants in relation to DSH, bad debt and wage index. The senior analyst also is the main contact for Medicare and Medicaid government audits for the hospitals and Longterm care. The role also supports reimbursement optimization, reporting compliance, and assisting in training and mentoring reimbursement analysts.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field required; or in lieu of degree, five (5) - seven (7) years of directly related experience may be considered.

EXPERIENCE

Three plus years of healthcare reimbursement or Medicare/Medicaid cost report experience, with third party reimbursement regulations required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

Strong background in quantitative analysis, cost and product line concepts, personal computer and systems development Strong Excel skills required Knowledge of Lawson and Epic systems desired Knowledge of hospital and Longterm care Cost Report software Basis accounting knowledge required Ability to work effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization
