Our cases may involve travelers, cruise-line employees and passengers, international patients, and individuals requiring medical assistance while away from their home country. The successful candidate will communicate with hospitals, physicians, clinics, insurance and assistance companies, patients, and internal team members to ensure each case is handled efficiently and professionally. Key Responsibilities Coordinate international medical cases from opening through completion. Communicate with hospitals, physicians, clinics, and other healthcare providers in the United States and internationally. Obtain and review medical reports, diagnostic results, treatment plans, and other clinical documentation. Follow hospitalized and outpatient patients and obtain regular medical updates. Assist with coordinating appointments, emergency care, hospital admissions, transfers, transportation, and other medical services. Maintain clear communication with clients regarding the patient's condition, treatment, and case progression. Understand medical terminology and communicate clinical information accurately. Maintain detailed and organized case notes and documentation. Manage multiple active cases simultaneously while prioritizing urgent situations. Work closely with SunMed's medical, operations, claims, and provider-network teams. Maintain strict confidentiality when handling patient and client information. Preferred Qualifications Medical background strongly preferred: Nurse, Physician/Doctor, or other qualified healthcare professional. Medical professionals educated or licensed outside the United States are encouraged to apply. Strong English communication skills are required. Spanish/English bilingual candidates are strongly preferred. Strong understanding of medical terminology, diagnoses, procedures, and hospital documentation. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Comfortable communicating professionally by telephone and email. Strong computer skills and ability to work with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Teams, and web-based case-management systems. Ability to remain organized and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable handling time-sensitive medical situations.
