Job Description

Position SummaryRobert Half is seeking an experienced Health Information Clerk for an onsite in Pheonix, AZ to support the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of patient medical records. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with health information management, medical records, electronic medical record (EMR) systems, and HIPAA regulations in a healthcare setting.

Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain, organize, and update patient medical records in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Retrieve, scan, index, and file medical documents accurately into electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems.

Process requests for medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and privacy regulations.

Verify patient information for completeness and accuracy.

Track, monitor, and reconcile medical record deficiencies.

Communicate with providers, clinical staff, patients, and outside agencies regarding record requests and documentation needs.

Ensure proper retention, storage, and security of confidential health information.

Assist with audits, quality reviews, and other health information management activities.
