Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Front Desk Insurance Coordinator to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, insurance providers, and clinical staff, ensuring smooth administrative operations within our medical practice. Your expertise in medical billing, insurance verification, and electronic health record (EHR) systems will be essential to facilitate efficient patient care and accurate documentation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your clinical confidentiality knowledge and customer service skills in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, demonstrating excellent communication, organization, and technical proficiency. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism and efficiency Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and follow up on outstanding payments using systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or other EMR/EHR platforms Review medical documentation for accuracy and completeness in accordance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies Schedule appointments, coordinate care plans, and manage medical records while maintaining meticulous documentation review standards Assist with billing procedures including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, Medicare claims processing, and medical billing tasks Answer incoming phone calls promptly with excellent phone etiquette; provide exceptional patient service while addressing inquiries or redirecting calls as needed Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and ensure compliance with health information management protocols Skills Some knowledge of health insurance processes including verification, claims submission, and follow-up procedures Experience with medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), billing procedures, and Medicare requirements Computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite; capable of typing accurately at 10-key speed for data entry tasks Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively Exceptional customer service skills combined with effective phone communication and office management abilities Bilingual Join us to make a meaningful impact by supporting seamless healthcare delivery through efficient administrative operations.
